I have made a pattern you all might like... It has worked well for all 3 of my boys.
it's realy simple
I use a #5 set of neddles
and red heart yarn (we live in a cold clinment)
30-40 rows (you can put any type of knit purl pattern in these 40 rows)
now you devide half the stiches onto a second neddle.
darn them together (like the way you do the botom of a bag or toe of a sock)
Since I am delayed by the lost of my camra's power cord I would like to put up my favorate hat link, and my oun tips.disclamer:
I am left handed so if something I post dose not aply to you I am deeply sorry for the confusion.Hat
there are a few things that can be done with this pattern.
the stich count is divisable by 8 so you can add/subtract stiches for size. Either adding an aditional knit to the section.
would become *k7, k2tog*
Or you can keep the *k6, k2tog*
and just have another decrese section.Help
I have found 2 things wrong with this patern.1:
It says knit 5 inches.... I can't get an adult hat to fit with less then 6 inches.
2: The decrese rows need to start with the decrese to work properly.... *k2tog, k6*
is how it should read to get a well spaced patern.
I am starting a baby hoodie, knitted, newborn.
so for all I have is start on the back.
I am makeing my own pattern so its a know as you go deal. When I am finished I will post the whole pattern and tag it as such.
pictures apon completion... or the finding of my camra's power cord. Whitch ever comes first.
